The Jenny Beth Show

Anti-socialism Bill Splits House & a Chinese Bot Farm in the Data Center Fight | Jeff Reynolds

Episode Summary

The socialism resolution on the House floor this week does two things at once, and Democrats only fought one of them. It condemns socialism, and it calls on Congress to pass the SAVE America Act — the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act — which requires proof of citizenship to register and photo identification to vote. Not one Democrat on the Rules Committee would advance it. Then they wrote their own version. Theirs still condemns socialism, in different words, and no longer contains the sentence requiring you to prove you are a citizen before you register. Robert McNeily, Director of Broadcasting and Grassroots Engagement at Tea Party Patriots Action, is in for Jenny Beth Martin. He is joined for the full hour by Jeff Reynolds, Senior Editor of Restoration News, who covers what the press reports and what it leaves out. They walk the Democratic Socialists of America platform line by line, from abolishing the United States Senate to replacing the Supreme Court with a judiciary chosen by Congress, and ask why nobody defended a single plank of it. They cover the Supreme Court's 5-4 ruling on legal standing, with Chief Justice John Roberts writing the dissent joined by the Court's three liberal justices. And they take on the story almost nobody connected: X published findings on roughly 200,000 inauthentic Chinese linked accounts, about 200 of them working the American data center fight, and what Senator Ted Cruz warned conservatives about echoing.
